This policy is issued by 2292802 Ontario Inc. operating as Relocasa.ai ("Relocasa", "we", "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide our address change service:

  • Contact information — your name and email address
  • Address information — your current and new mailing and billing address
  • Service provider details — account information you provide for each provider
  • Bill images — photos of bills or statements you upload to identify your service providers
  • Government-issued identification and sensitive accounts — Relocasa strongly recommends that you update your government-issued identification (such as your driver's licence, health card, or passport) and sensitive financial accounts (such as your bank) directly through the official portals yourself. Sharing this type of sensitive information with any third party over the internet carries inherent risk, and we advise against it. If you choose to have Relocasa assist with these updates at your own insistence, we will make every effort to handle your information with the utmost care; however, we accept no liability for any risk arising from your decision to share this information with us for that purpose.
  • Usage data — pages visited and browser type, collected anonymously via Google Analytics

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

  • Notify your selected service providers of your new mailing and billing address on your behalf
  • Send you status updates about your requests via email
  • Improve the reliability and quality of our service
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

What we will never do: Relocasa will not make any financial transactions, access your account balances, enter into contracts, or take any action on your behalf beyond updating your mailing and billing addresses.

3. How We Share Your Information

How your information is shared depends on the plan you chose at registration:

  • All plans — service providers — your name, account numbers, and new mailing and billing address are shared only with the service providers you have selected, solely to complete the address change on your behalf.
  • All plans — technology infrastructure — Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides our secure cloud storage and compute infrastructure.
  • Standard Plan — relocation information sharing — if you selected the Standard Plan, you explicitly authorized Relocasa.ai (2292802 Ontario Inc.) to share your name, phone number, and new address with carefully vetted, reputable local businesses at your new location. This connection is made on your behalf so those businesses can reach out with exclusive deals and offers before you even arrive — a benefit you could not access any other way. Your information is shared solely to connect you with relevant local services; it is never sold, auctioned, or shared indiscriminately. You may withdraw this consent at any time by upgrading to the Premium Plan or emailing admin@relocasa.ai.
  • Premium Plan — no relocation information is shared with any third party, ever.

Relocasa never sells or auctions your personal information. Premium Plan members' information is never shared with any third party beyond the service providers they select. Standard Plan members have explicitly consented at registration to their contact details being shared with carefully vetted local businesses at their new address — this sharing is purposeful, consent-based, and limited to connecting you with relevant local services.

4. Data Security

We protect your information using industry-standard security practices:

  • Bank-grade AES-256 encryption for data at rest and in transit
  • Secure AWS S3 cloud infrastructure with access controls
  • Zero-knowledge protocols where applicable
  • Regular security reviews of our systems

No system is entirely immune to security threats. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you within a reasonable timeframe as required by PIPEDA.

5. Data Retention

Retention periods differ by plan, as set out in the Relocasa Agreement you accepted at registration:

  • Premium Plan — all your personal data is permanently and securely deleted once the AI completes your address change.
  • Standard Plan — your data may be retained for up to seven (7) years for business and legal compliance, then securely deleted in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Premium Plan members' data is deleted on completion regardless of any such request. Standard Plan members may also upgrade to the Premium Plan to trigger immediate deletion.

6. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Cancel the Relocasa Agreement and withdraw consent at any time by emailing admin@relocasa.ai. Standard Plan members wishing to stop relocation information sharing may also upgrade to the Premium Plan.
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

7. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics collects anonymized data such as pages visited, session duration, and browser type — no personally identifiable information is collected through this tool. You can opt out at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
